Knowledge Sharing

I am thankful for people who are very generous with their knowledge. I have recently met people who are very willing to collaborate, hear ideas and extend a helping hand. I have never heard the words “if you need help, please do not hesitate to reach out…” mentioned so much in my life. It is even always followed by quite a number of people from whom you can ask for help should you need it.

It’s very difficult when we find ourselves in situations in which we do not know what to do or how to do things. It’s even more frustrating when we do not have anyone to turn to for help and we’re left to figure things out on our own.

To make the case even worse, there are people who will point out how helpless we are and how much better they can do the task in our place, but will not lift a finger to help us even then the slightest bit. There are people who keep what they know to themselves despite seeing someone else struggle because of lack of knowledge.

I hope to see the day when more people do not see knowledge-sharing as a way of creating threats to our being needed or being very important.
