Glitters in the Sky

I looked out my window and,

Despite my poor eyesight I see you shine.

You contrast against the dark, blue sky,

Twinkling, shining brightly, oh, so fine.

I put on my glasses, hoping to see,

More clearly, you that’s shining on me.

I was surprised to see there were more of you,

Not shining as clearly, but pretty too.

Lucky you, shining star I see,

Because you’re not alone like me…

Now I am bidding you goodnight,

I pray you’ll never run out of light.
